How long will it take to create my smile makeover?
If all you require is a little brightening and whitening to make a difference in your smile, we can complete an in-office whitening treatment in about an hour. If you need a procedure like porcelain veneers, you will be able to complete treatment in about three visits over the course of a month.
Are professional whitening treatments better than over-the-counter products?
The short answer is yes. Professional whitening, whether done in the office or at home, produces better results than over-the-counter products. Professional-strength gel is more effective than the gels that come in drug store treatments. Plus, with professional whitening, you receive a custom-designed tray that will fit your teeth closely, whereas a generic store-bought tray may or may not fit. An ill-fitting tray will produce uneven whitening, as contact with the whitening gel is what gives results.
Dr. Evola uses the Zoom! tooth whitening system, which includes a follow-up take-home kit. Your teeth may become even whiter than the in-office treatment will make them.
