Forestream Dental is in full compliance with all state and federal COVID-19 requirements and recommendations. As such, our Depew office is currently open only for emergency services. When Will Forestream Dental Resume Normal Hours?
Currently, the NYSDH has ordered all nonessential businesses to cease normal operations through April 30th. Forestream Dental will follow the recommendations of the CDC and health department to ensure that all of our patients remain safe during and after this time.
You can help by staying home if you feel unwell – even if it seems minor. We cannot see patients who are sneezing, coughing, or have a runny nose. We will not see patients who have a fever. Please remember, when you leave the house sick, you expose everyone you come into contact with to a heightened risk for serious or even fatal complications.
Always stay home if you are sick and consider staying home even when well, unless you absolutely need to leave the house.
What is a Dental Emergency?
Dental emergencies that we are equipped to handle include:
- Tooth sensitivity or pain
- Chipped, cracked, or broken teeth
- Lost or broken restorations (filling, crown, etc.)
- Tooth loss due to trauma or disease
- Lockjaw or jaw pain
If you suspect you are experiencing a dental emergency, please call us at 716-656-8686 to schedule your appointment right away. We are maintaining limited office hours – 10 to 12 on Tuesdays and Thursdays – while our state remains under shelter-in-place orders.
Our Commitment to Your Safety
COVID-19 is primarily spread through droplets that are directly inhaled. There is evidence, however, that the virus can live on surfaces for several hours or even days, prompting the need for enhanced cleaning protocols.
As a medical office, Forestream Dental adheres to the strictest of hygienic standards. Even when there is not a global pandemic, we autoclave all of our instruments and tools after each use. This process kills spores, viruses, and fungi for complete sanitization.
In addition to using an autoclave for our instruments, our chairs, counters, and all surfaces are cleaned and disinfected multiple times daily. So too are all of the rooms in our office, including exam rooms, waiting room, and the front desk area.
We do not allow relatives or friends in the treatment room. In fact, if you are able to get yourself to and from your appointment, we recommend you come alone. As with all things during this time, it is best to do errands and other out-of-the-house activities by yourself to help minimize exposure risks.
