It’s time once again to play the Forestream Dental quiz: to tell the tooth. Today’s question:
What are some of the early warning signs you may have a tooth problem?
We all tend to brush aside some minor aches and pains, but if you have a little toothache that persists for more than a couple of days, it’s worth having it looked at. A mild toothache can be like a check-engine light for your mouth. Toothaches can progress and what was just a little irritating can become very painful — and almost always on a weekend, when you’re on vacation, or some other equally inconvenient time.
Here are a few warning signs:
- Sensitivity to hot or cold temperatures
- Pain when chewing
- Constant soreness
- Red and inflamed gums
If you’re experiencing any of these symptoms, come see us and let us check it out. You’ll be glad you did, especially if we can catch a tiny cavity early and fix it with a tooth-colored filling instead of a more invasive treatment like a root canal and crown. Give us a call here at Forestream Dental. In the long run it will save you time, pain and money.
